Plano Trauma
Dr. Mandy Rice serves as a trauma fellowship-trained general surgeon and part-time faculty member at a Level I Trauma Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where she delivers high-acuity emergency general surgery and trauma care while actively teaching surgical residents as well as mentoring medical students during their sub-internships. She finds profound fulfillment in this role, cherishing the opportunity to shape the next generation of surgeons by fostering a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment amid the intensity of trauma, general surgery, and surgical critical care. Having endured toxic environments during her own surgical residency and trauma fellowship, Dr. Rice is especially passionate about contributing to an emotionally stable, highly skilled, and intellectually challenging surgical program—one that prioritizes mentorship, psychological safety, and excellence, allowing developing surgeons to thrive both technically and personally.
